Camison’s Beach
Among the many beaches that are in Tenerife, today we visit one in the Las Americas area.
Camisón’s Beach, located in the municipality of Arona, a few minutes walk from the beach of Las Vistas, is a beach of golden sand sheltered from the waves thanks to two containment dams; 350 meters long and 40 meters wide.
It is the ideal place for families and tourists and in 2010 it was awarded the Blue Flag.
You have all the services you can expect from a beach located in a tourist center also suitable for people with physical disabilities. You can also rent sunbeds and umbrellas and you will have access to showers, toilets, security checks by the police and so on.
On the beach of el Camison there are also chiringuites where you can enjoy the view while sipping an aperitif or, if you feel like it, you can take a walk through the shops in the surroundings and find a restaurant for dinner.
The atmosphere is cosmopolitan with a wide range of leisure activities both day and night.
Possibility of doing many excursions including jet skis, parachuting etc …
A long time ago it was an almost desert area, where wheat, cotton and tomatoes were cultivated and, before the project of the beach that was realized, there were the ideal conditions to build the airport, the lack of roads and other shortcomings they did opt for another location.
It is easy to get there either on foot or by public transport, it is possible to reach it also by car but often you will find it hard to find parking.
Our advice: go there quite early in the morning, so you can find the most suitable place for you and it will certainly be less crowded, often it is hard to find a free place (sunbeds, umbrellas), especially in high season.
