Jaquita’s Beach

Located in Alcalá, a quiet fishing village that is considered the most beautiful coastal town in the southwest of the island, in the municipality of Guía de Isora, this beautiful beach, called Playa La Jaquita, is made of fine volcanic sand.

It extends for about 700 meters, 15 meters wide, because this beach has been divided into three small equipped beaches, where you can sunbathe and swim in tranquility in natural pools that have formed over time.

Parallel to the walk you can find, in addition to the beautiful landscape, also very well kept gardens with many colorful flowers that contribute to make the area not only colorful but very clean and make this place a place for all tastes.

It offers many opportunities for diving through the clear bottom, where you can find a wide marine life. The beach has changing rooms, a mixed bathroom for the disabled, turrets and first aid, next to a kiosk. You can rent umbrellas and sunbeds and there is access for disabled people. Possibility to park for free.

You will also have the opportunity to taste a lunch or a refreshing aperitif right nearby because there is a wide choice of bars and clubs suitable for spending a few hours in the company of friends.

Nearby is the 5-star Gran Melia hotel, so the place is clean and well kept. Playa La Jaquita has been awarded with the blue flag for cleaning, toilets, information panels, water and rescue.
