07 Jan Puertito de Armeñime’s beach
In the municipality of Adeje, a short walk from Playa Paraiso, in the area of Armeñime we find this small semi-urban bay called Puertito de Armeñime’s beach.
This small fishing district has no other services as it has not yet been incorporated into tourist developments, but it is a natural enclave to say the least unique.
The beach is of volcanic origin, black sand, and the crystal clear water allows you to see its full depth, an ideal place for snorkeling and diving. It has a length of about 130 meters and a width of about 50 meters.
Unfortunately it doesn’t have access for people with motor disabilities.
Don’t miss the micro marine reserve where the green turtles swim, a show not to be missed. The dive is made on a sandbank where on the bottom you will see one, two or even six turtles that, accustomed to receiving food, approach without fear of eating from your hand if you have something for them.
In this place, since 2005 a project of conservation, research and environmental education has been developed that aims to recover the marine funds degraded by the sea urchin.
Very easy to get there by car or on foot, among other things there is a very large parking lot where you can park, a local restaurant where you can taste the specialties of the place or sip a beer watching the sun set.
You can admire some fishing boats leaving or returning to the Puertito, you will see people relaxing and sunbathing in peace, people bathing in a sea almost without waves.
It will be difficult not to get lost in this fantastic panorama, able to take your breath away. Ideal place to spend the day in the company of the family.
El Puertito de Armeñime is waiting for you!
