Unfortunately, many parts of the world are lamenting an irrational and unscrupulous behavioral deterioration towards the “medium environment“, that is to say, of the environment around us, of the nature, of the wounds that it must undergo at the hands of man, both from the floristic point of view. but much more serious under the faunistic aspect, making the surrounding environment of Tenerife almost invaceable for many animal species, making some of them even endangered.
Tenerife is doing, like other tourist resorts and not, its battle against negligence, environmental exploitation and the upheaval of the animal world, at least the vital rhythms that mark his life until sometimes nullify even self-defense. The campaigns against plastic abandoned everywhere are continuous and pounding, the micro plastics ended up in the sea upset even cetaceans from quintals of weight suffocated by debris that do not leave their escape routes, as also the spills in the sea, the result of lost investment on wild urbanizations.
Initiatives at all levels are intensifying but the results are not completely visible and, while the massacres follow each other, the medium environment of Tenerife is damaged by decades of neglect, underestimation of the effects of overbuilding and poor management of the territory. Tenerife, gratified by the continuous passage of fins and dolphins a few hundred meters from the coast, is investing trying to maintain its medium sustainable and livable environment for a fauna that is, objectively, a “treasure” not unimportant and that, together to its natural beauties, it offers a very diversified fauna and, thanks to rather stringent laws, protected.

At this point “private” movements, in the form of foundations, autonomous solidarity groups, and ordinary citizens, Loro Parque Fundaciòn, Defensa Animal Tenerife, Tenerife Surprise and many other “friends” have decided to arm themselves and clean up their “medium environment” with an action of solidarity aimed at re-educating, safeguarding and reaffirming the concept of “free man in an adequate environment”.
