San Cristobal de la Laguna is the second most important city of Tenerife and until 1723 was the capital of the island located in the hinterland of the city of Santa Cruz in the beautiful countryside of Valle Aguere.
It is the capital of culture and religion, which is home to the San Fernando University, one of the most important in Spain.
