Mirador de La Tarta
The Mirador de La Tarta is located on one of the roads that go up to Teide (TF-24) and is one of the best spots on the island to appreciate the different geological layers of Las Cañadas.
The name of this Mirador derives from the colors that the volcanic layers present, which recall, in fact, the layers of a cake.
La Tarta del Teide is located on a bend in the road, with a Mirador on each side. Each layer has a color (white, black or reddish) that corresponds to a different eruption.
This curve has become an essential stop when visiting the Teide National Park, as it is one of the best viewpoints on Teide.
