Parque García Sanabria
Parque García Sanabria is located in Santa Cruz and takes its name from the mayor Santiago García Sanabria who wanted it to be built in 1926.
The park has an area of 67,230 square meters. and it is a unique experience where you can walk among exotic flowers, discover hidden sculptures among the trees, walk stopping at the lake to see the frogs hopping or bring your dog to the dedicated dog area.
The Parque García Sanabria has several entrances but in the main one, Calle El Pilar, there is the floral clock; this unique watch in the world was produced in Switzerland by the Favag house and donated by the Danish consul in 1958. It is permanently decorated with fresh flowers.
The clock has two steps on either side that lead us to the central fountain.
Arriving at the central fountain there is a small square where the Monument to García Sanabria stands, an expressionist work by the sculptor Francisco Borges Salas.
It is a park suitable for the whole family where you can also refresh yourself by choosing between the two bars / restaurants that you will find inside.
