Loro Parque was created in 1970 by the Germans Wolfgang Kiessling and his father.
On December 17, 1972, the park officially opened its doors to the public.
At the beginning it had an area of about 13,000 m² in which the natural habitat of animals was reproduced, more than 150 parrots with the first dedicated show in Europe.
Currently the extension is 135,000 m². Watch dolphin, killer whale and sea lion shows.
