Abades is a small town on the south coast of the island that is slowly developing in all its uniqueness.
We continue our journey south, coming across a village on the ocean coast dating back to the late 80s.
Despite the blinding white of the 800 houses that compose it, we welcome the gray and disturbing ruins of the Old Church that dominates the landscape from above with its majestic cross.
It represents an ancient village of a few houses destined to receive, at the end of the Spanish civil war, about 200 people suffering from pest and closed in the 40s. Interesting to visit this small “ghost town”.
In the extreme coastal part relives the cheerful and colorful spirit of the seaside village, plenty of bars, restaurants and markets surrounding the square square and, prerogative of the place, schools and diving and snorkeling centers that, taking advantage of the bay where Abades is inserted, they enjoy a unique and unmissable access to the ocean.
The idea that this small village, in the last few years, is growing both for population and for economic interests linked to tourism is not to be neglected, and there is certainly no lack of interesting opportunities for houses to buy, rather than activities to be opened.
Many people visit this quiet place that also offers bargains during breaks, we suggest a good place to taste some amazing meat, El Toro Loco!
