The Golf Costa Adeje, located on the edge of the sea and only 5 kilometers from Las Américas, on the beautiful coasts of the south-west of the island of Tenerife, is a paradisiacal field that stands out for various reasons. The Golf Costa Adeje was designed by Pepe Gancedo, a well-known name for those who follow the world of this fabulous sport, the player of the National Teams and golf course designers José Gancedo Gómez; Born in 1938 in Malaga, he was one of the best amateur golfers of his time.
The Golf Costa Adeje has been designed taking advantage of the natural features of the land; it is the only golf course in Europe with Bermuda greens, a cespi tosa variety that gives them beauty and speed; the black sand of its bunkers, so characteristic of the island’s volcanoes; the stone walls, the legacy of the old banana plantation in which it is located and its climate, the gentle breeze from the sea makes you enjoy wonderful temperatures throughout the summer and arouse the originality of this wonderful golf enclave offering 18 holes of par 72 and a 9-hole course of par 33.
You are fascinated because you play with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the island of La Gomera, and is perfect for those who need to train to face a season, or for those who are beginners but already able to compete .
The last 9 holes built next to the driving range are a little shorter but more technical. With its six lakes it makes the game more interesting and fun where even the high handicap can enjoy this sport: it’s just a pleasure to spend the day there. The club house, spacious and pleasant, has different spaces and large terraces. A curiosity: the descent to the driving range can be done in an elevator inside the stroller itself.
It was the Seat of the 2003 Spanish Open and of the Tenerife Ladies Open 2005, 2008 and 2009.
Good golf to all and, even if you don’t know how to play, it’s worth a visit.
